What is oo-1905
A Collective of Old & Obscure Machinery
oo-1905 is looking for Old & Obscure mechanical or steam-driven machinery and equipment as well as riveted metal. The goal is to find & gather these items, to preserve them and for use in the creation of new sculptures. I envision the creation of a community museum; a place for people to congregate, teach, create, appreciate and enjoy art while preserving & recycling examples of mechanical history here in Central Illinois.

The girls and I rescued another beautiful beast today. It is a field tile trencher and I think it was made in the 50's. It weighs 17,500 lbs. I’m going to make a chandelier and staircase out of it. The guy in the photo with us, Tim Whitney, ran it years ago. Great day!
